In the past, removing hairs was a females-only affair. The only males that considered removing hairs were cyclists, swimmers, bodybuilders an male exotic dancers. That is not the case anymore. There are many men who are going for removal of hairs. The biggest challenge for most of them is to find a suitable procedure or method. In consideration of male hair removal Fairfield residents should know the available options.

There is the use of lasers which is commonly used. It involves the use of laser energy for penetration of hair shafts so that the root of hairs is killed. That does not kill the follicle however, which means there can be re-growth of hairs later on, but that is difficult. The treatment takes about 30 minutes for each session and you may need as much as 8 sessions.

The use of lasers is suitable for removing hairs at the stomach, back, shoulders and chest. It is best suited for light skin and dark hairs and is not recommended for people with blond or white hairs. After laser treatment, the results should be permanent but there needs to be follow-up treatments either yearly or after 2 years. Waxing is another option that one could use. It involves applying lotion on skin. The lotion adheres to hairs only. There are cloth strips which are layered and are used over the cream. The cloth will be removed after drying up of the cream.

Waxing usually takes between ten minutes to one hour, with the time depending on areas of the body that should be waxed. Waxing is suitable for unibrows, eyebrow shaping and removing hairs from the underarms and neck. The genital area can be waxed but that comes with some pain. You should first consider waxing other parts of the body before the genital area.

Removal of hairs can be done using electrolysis. That involves using an ultra-slim needle for penetrating every individual shaft. The system will deliver tiny electricity shocks to hair follicles and in the process kill cells which make up hair. After a cell is gone, there will be no growth of hairs again. The time that it takes to accomplish depends on how much hairs should be removed.

Perhaps the simplest procedure to use is shaving. It involves using a razor blade and creams. It is a popular method since it requires no serious skills and can be done by the person individually. The disadvantage is that there might be itchy regrowth of hairs and ingrown hairs which tend to be painful and unsightly.

There are people who are better off using depilatory creams. They are easy to use and will not involve any complicated procedures. The cream will be applied on the skin and left to settle for some time. It is then washed off, removing all the unwanted hairs. Using the cream works for areas around the shoulders which are not easily reached using other methods.

Threading is another method which men can use. When compared to waxing, it is less painful and tends to be more precise. An esthetician will use a thread which is twisted and rolled to quickly remove hairs.
