It's no secret that being overweight or obese is brought about by eating unhealthy foods and having a sedentary life. Not too many people, however, are aware of the fact that these two are not the only causative factors. Health authorities confirm that there are so many other issues that can trigger the appearance of excess pounds. Having an extremely stressful life is an example, which is something that's quite common these days. Doctors say that the reason why being stressed all the time can cause weight gain is the fact that stress hormones encourage the accumulation of too much fat cells. There are innumerable passages in the scriptures that can assist anyone in fending off high levels of stress. Knowing that a person is loved by God helps soothe the body and mind. Besides, reading the Bible itself especially at the end of a long and tiring day is an excellent stress reliever.

Still it's very important to stay away eating too much and having a sedentary life. These two are clearly part of the seven deadly sins, and they are gluttony and sloth. Coupling stress reduction with eating healthy foods and having regular exercise makes it possible for female Christians to slim down without trouble.
