Stop hemorrhoid irritation and pain by using ice. Hemorrhoids can result in extreme pain. An ice pack can reduce both pain and swelling. Take off the ice pack then put on a warm pack and alternate them. If you relax in a nice warm bath, and use an ice pack when you're out of the bath, the swelling of your hemorrhoids will go down, and you'll be much more comfortable.

Too much straining during bowel movements can cause hemorrhoids. Increase the amount of water you drink and eliminate refined sugar from your diet to soften your stool. Squatting can prevent straining during bowel movements as well. To achieve this, place your feet on a short stool whenever you sit down to go. Hemorrhoids are less common in countries where people squat instead of sitting.

Some may find it comical, but a cushion is a great solution to circumvent hemorrhoid discomfort. Using in at your workplace may make you feel a bit silly, but even just using it in your car and at home will help relieve much of the pain you're experiencing and make your hemorrhoids less stressful.
