Getting a service provider to tend to your lawn and ensure that it is green and lush although the year is a task that should not be taken lightly. Too many people simply make a few phone calls to various lawn tending companies in their area and then go with the one that is the cheapest. This can end up costing you in the long run. Here are some tips that will help you choose a great Lawn Care Service Pensacola:

Know how much to charge per square foot. This is the basic factor in your pricing model that determines whether your business will be profitable in the long run. To generate some idea on how much to charge, measure your grass size and then call up a few reputable grass tending companies and ask for their quotations.

Check Licensing: Make sure that any grass service company you consider is fully licensed and insured. Sure, you can save some money by hiring one that isn't, but then you are not covered if something goes wrong while the grass care company is on your property.

Remember that you are going into business to make money. If your prices are so low that there is barely any profit in it for you then you may as well stick with your day job. Don't think that you will be able to make it up later and raise your prices either. If you try this your customers are likely to dump you and move onto another low priced service.

Do not quote or bid blindly. When your customers call you up to get a quotation, remember to ask for the dimension of their grass. Do not quote off the bat blindly. Give them an initial estimate of the cost and tell them that the final pricing can only be determined after you have surveyed the site. The same rule applies when you bid for a grass care job.

Get it in Writing: Make sure that you are clear on what the grass service company will be doing for you. Once you are sure, be certain you get a signed contract so that you have in writing exactly what it is that they will be doing for you for the price they quoted you.

Look at some of their works: A different way to assist you figure out which grass care service to go with is to ask them for a list of their most recent projects both large and small. This will be different from their portfolio and their reference list and they may not have this ready, but should be able to give it to you before the interview is over. Once you have it, take some time and drive by the places on the list. Then you can see for yourself how good or bad of a job they actually do.

With these tips, you should be able to come up with a good pricing model that will allow you to stay profitable and compete fairly with other lawn care companies. By consistently adding value to the services you provided, you will be able to build a large loyal customer base that will keep you in business for years to come.
