The amount of overweight people in our society is rapidly increasing. Everyday thousands of people begin new diet and exercise programs only to quit before they see results.

So is it possible for those who struggle with sticking to a weight loss plan to lose weight without exercise?

Listed below are 5 suggestions for losing weight without exercise.

Do Not Drink Soda

Sodas are packed with sugar and calories. If you have a 2 soda a day habit, that is the equivalent of 102,200 calories or approximately 30 lbs in a year.

Eliminating soda from your diet can be instrumental in helping you lose some of the unwanted pounds.

Eat Healthier Snacks

When you are feeling hungry and need to grab a snack, reach for fruit, vegetables or nuts instead of chips or cakes.

Fruits are naturally sweet and can be an effective way to curb your appetite and sweet cravings.

Portion Control

Cutting back on the amount of food you are eating and monitoring the number of calories you are consuming is essential for weight loss.

To make this work, eat only the recommended portion sizes for each meal. If this is to drastic initially, just cut the normal amount you would eat in half.

This will drastically reduce the number of calories you are eating. Do this on a regular basis and you should gradually start losing weight.

8 Glasses Of Water Daily

In order to cleanse the body of toxins and keep your digestive system functioning at peak capacity you need to drink lots of water.

If you drink a glass of water before each meal, it will cause you to eat less because the water fills your stomach making you less hungry. Also, substituting water for sweet drinks high in calories and sugar can be instrumental in helping you lose the unwanted pounds.

You should be drinking at least eight glasses of water each day.

Take The Stairs

One way to get exercise without actually exercising is to do simple things like taking the stairs instead of the elevator. While it may not be intense exercise, taking the stairs is a great way to burn a few extra calories.

When done on a regular basis it can result in several pounds of weight loss yearly.

Incorporating simple changes like this into your lifestyle can help you lose weight and get fit.

Losing weight can be done without exercise but adding exercise will drastically speed up the results and improve your health.
