The occurrence of hemorrhoids is attributed to swelling of tissues found in the anal canal as a result of too much internal pressure that originates from the pelvic and rectal area. In the event that the causes are not looked into, the condition can go on for long. Hemorrhoids cure treatment for beginners is relatively simple.

The advantage is that the condition resolves on its own after a time. If anything, it poses not any serious long term risks to those that have it. In the case of internal hemorrhoids, there is tendency for blood traces to be seen on stool.

At certain times also, there is appearance of both blood and mucus on stool. Even more seriously, blood may drip from the anus when one wipes the affected area with tissue paper. One is advised to see a doctor immediately so that they may rule out any more serious infections. This is due to the fact that blood in the stools could signal other conditions such as cancer or infections of the intestines.

Doctors usually perform a simple physical examination to confirm the presence of hemorrhoids in the rectal area. Don't worry, this physical exam is non-invasive, and your doctor can probably confirm the diagnosis after a few minutes.

External hemorrhoids are not as hard to diagnose given the ease with which they can be seen without the need for additional tests. Such swellings that form outside the rectum tend to develop clots of blood in them. The clots may break as a result of swellings and contractions during bowel movement.

The squeezing movement brought about by bowel movement has other serious effects. It can compound the pain and bleeding that comes from both external and internal swellings. That explains why most people suffering from hemorrhoids never look forward to visiting toilets. The experience can be harrowing, to a great extent.

Well, there are times when doctors may not manage to find any swellings in the rectal region, in which case a colonoscope or sigmoidoscope are used. These are able to effectively check the various areas of the colon to ensure there are not problems there. Because bleeding occurs anywhere in the gastrointestinal tract, the doctor may have to perform various specialized tests to determine the origin of bleeding.

More often than not, the treatment is easy. Doctors ask the patients to perform certain simple tasks at home to alleviate the symptoms. You see, the condition is mostly brought about by straining due to bowel movement.

This cause, plus the other symptoms, need to be addressed at the same time. The doctor may either prescribe medications or topical solutions for the cure. For people that are suffering from itching, there may be need to prescribe anti-itch medication. This ensures that as the curing is achieved, itching is also contained.

If your stools are extremely hard and difficult to move naturally, modifying your diet so that you get more fiber might do the trick. In the event that this doesn't work, stool-softening agents might be used so that your stools will become softer and easier to expel. Softer stools mean your hemorrhoids will have the opportunity to heal.
