Amidst problems of air pollution, Oxygen bars provide people the chance to be able to inhale pure, unadulterated oxygen in an entirely different venue - fun places. They are also called recreational oxygen or O2 bars because these can be found in recreational places with numerous people breathing unhealthy oxygen.

The History

According to the website Mama's Health, oxygen bars were introduced in the United States in the early 1990s. They have also become popular in Canada and Japan. The idea came in response to air pollution and the claim that breathing oxygen promotes mental clarity.
