Laser treatment is the only method that can permanently reduce those unwanted hairs on your face and body. Yes, after completing all of the prescribed number of treatments you can stop worrying about them for the rest of your life. Before you take that very first trip to a laser hair center Plano is offering, however, there are some very important things that you need to keep in mind. Keep on reading to know how to correctly prepare for your initial treatment.

Limit sun exposure. Getting ready for a session starts at least a month before the big day arrives. Experts suggest that you should start dodging the sun because it's a must for you to step foot inside the clinic with the least amount of the pigment melanin in your skin. See to it that you use sunscreen with an SPF of 30 or even higher before leaving your home to fend off excessive melanin creation.

Any form of tanning should be avoided. Bathing in the sun, needless to say, is contraindicated for at least one month before a session. You should steer clear of using tanning lamps or beds, too. Do not make the mistake of applying indoor tanning gels, foams, sprays or lotions as it's also not allowed before your initial treatment.

Skip going to the beauty salon to get a wax. It's of utmost importance for your hair follicles to be intact while you are getting your laser treatment. That's because they are the ones that those concentrated light beams seek and destroy. With no follicles around, the treatment will yield no noticeable results. What's more, those light beams will be absorbed by melanin in your skin, leaving you in a great deal of pain.

Steer clear of having those excess hairs bleached. According to experts, you should also avoid bleaching before your visit to the clinic. Fail to follow this important preparation tip and your money will end up down the drain as you won't obtain any favorable result from a session.

Shave all you like. Luckily, you may still sport hair free armpits, legs and bikini area since using a razor is very much allowed. The truth is you really need to reach for a razor on the day of your very first treatment. However, if you have sensitive skin you might have to shave a day in advance. This allows your skin to have enough time to recover from an irritation.

Have a shower and exfoliate, too. Before going to the clinic, take a shower. You have to free your skin of any grime, dirt and lots of oils. In the shower reach for a loofah or a coarse face towel and exfoliate gently all over. Going to the clinic with those excess dead skin cells removed lets you obtain much better results.

No cosmetic product should be applied. Do not make the mistake of applying anything on your skin after taking a shower. This is most especially true on areas of the body that will be treated. So in other words, you should steer clear of using makeup, deodorant, hand and body lotion, sunscreen and even your favorite perfume.
