The nursing practitioners and students form a significant and crucial part in the medical setting. They need to be equipped with the best skills to help the patients overcome diseases. They need to have comprehensive health education for them to know what they should do to provide the right support and interventions for the community. They should be able to apply the knowledge necessary.

Eating healthy is living healthy. The biggest challenge, however, today is associated with poor nutrition and harmful lifestyle. The rise in diseases such as obesity and diabetes is attributed to lack of awareness on preventive and control measures of such infections. The learners are the best disseminator of knowledge and they ought to be educated on how to manage the nutrition to prevent such diseases.

Majority of pathogens are acquired from the environmental settings. One way to eradicate such disease-causing microorganisms would be by making the learners aware of such infectious agents. The nurses ought to be made aware of nosocomial infections and how to take great care of them. There are also issues to do with the environmental hygiene, which is paramount to disease prevention.

It is not always easy to spot a disease whose signs have not yet come out apparently. This does not necessarily mean that it is until one is sick for them to be diagnosed with a particular disorder. The practitioners should advocate for measures such as frequent clinical screening. They ought to encourage and educate the public on the importance of early testing and screening programs.
