It is hard to find a good healthcare billing company these days. The new ICD-10 has a lot of physicians scratching their heads. It is estimated that healthcare establishments are losing around 20% to 30% of their income due to incorrect or poor billing. Often, claims are rejected or have bad follow ups. A lot of billers simply give up on these 20 to 30% of claims because it is too hard to figure out what is going on. It is time consuming and often not worth the billers time. However, that is still a huge loss of income potential. Medical billing companies often take care of this for the doctor because they are specialists in the field.

Medical billing companies often get you 30% more money than your in house billers do. It is mainly because they are more familiar with the 100,000 different codes that are used on a daily basis for ailments. You need to understand that your company must be 100% HIPPA compliant. They may charge you anywhere from 4% to 16% to use their services. Instead of looking at price, look at your own pockets. If they can make your more money, why not use them? It is a no brainer.

In my opinion, medical billing companies are good to use since they have many years of professional experience. They are usually ICD-10 certified and have master's degrees in the field of billing. A lot of medial billers today are educated. It is no longer the 1990's where someone could sit around in the pajamas doing medical billing. Today, medical billing requires you to be legally compliant with the laws of HIPPA.

It is important to choose a service that you feel comfortable with because they will often be the person that you call on for help. Most software today is compatible with Windows and UNIX. Your billing company will often have an electronic billing system that works well with your company. It is important to understand that everything begins to come together when you least expect. Most medical billing companies will ask you questions about your day to day operations. In this way, they can properly do your billing.

It is important that the billing company uses an electronic medical system. Everything is going digital these days. A good medical biller should be able to increase your revenue by 30%. This number may sound high to you, but this is what you are paying them for. If they can't do a better job than your in house billing team can, then what is the point of using them? It takes time to find a good billing company. Some of the best companies are not even known. Some of the giant medical billing companies are not as good as the "mom and pop" establishments. They often do better for you because they are not bombarded with so many clients. It is important to have a unique style and reputation for getting ahead today. Hire a company that you feel comfortable with. Your revenue will start to increase.

  1. The key to successful claim filing is the correct use of codes to identify what treatment was provided, and in the case of medical claims, the reason the treatment was provided. Current Dental Terminology (CDT) are the code sets established by the ADA for identifying procedures provided to patients for oral treatment. The CDT codes are used when submitting claims to dental plans. Medical plans do not pay for treatment claimed as CDT procedures. Please refer to this link: https://synapsedentalbilling.com/
