Just because there are around 100, 00 codes now doesn't mean that there can't be 250,000 tomorrow. Keep up to date with coding by reading books and attending workshops.

Talk to students that have been to the medical billing school. Ask to see a list of alumni that have graduated and got a job. Reputable schools are often proud and happy to let you talk to some of their graduates about their current position after graduation. If it's a good school, there should be no reason why their graduates do not have a job. Money today is often hard to come by because the job market is tight. Many companies are only hiring experienced medical billers because of the complex nature of ICD-10.
