You may be suffering from illness but your condition is not serious enough to go to the accident and emergencies department. Still, you need to be seen urgently because you can't wait long enough to get an appointment from your GP. If that is the case, then you need to look for urgent care Tampa. You will find urgent care centers operating in Tampa, FL that offer immediate assistance to individuals suffering from minor injuries and minor illnesses.

Such type of service is also regarded as walk in service because you don't have to book an appointment like you have to book one with your GP. Instead, you can just come in and wait to be served. Not all of the centers offer 24 hours service and its better to know the operating timings of your nearest center.

It is better to go to a walk in care clinic rather than rushing to the A&E department if you're not suffering from something serious. It will work more quickly than the other options because if you end up going to the Accidents and Emergencies department you will have to wait for a long time because they will put your case in less severe category and treat those first who are in critical condition.

All sorts of minor illnesses and injuries are dealt in an urgent care center. You should not consider it as an alternative to your GP because a GP can provide you better treatment as they have your medical history record. Whereas a walk in center doesn't hold such information regarding you.

The care center would ask you information regarding your personal medical history and also they will ask you about your registered GP so that they are able to provide you accurate service that you require. It is up to you whether you want to share all this information or not.

The holding up time may differ contingent upon the way that what number of patients are before you. On the off chance that there are no patients you may get seen rapidly else you will need to sit tight for your turn and it could take long in some cases if there is a long line.

You would be assessed by either a senior nurse or a junior or senior doctor depending on your condition and type of treatment you require. If the staff at the center assess you and think your condition is too serious to be dealt with, then they might recommend you to the A&E departments where you would be able to get better treatment.

When you are treated in a walk in center, they will ask for your consent regarding sharing information with your GP. If you do not consent them to share any of that information, they won't do it as it is on your discretion whether you want your GP to know if you had been treated anywhere else and what sort of treatment or medications you were given. The only benefit of sharing such information is that the next time you go to the GP, he will be able to provide you with better service in this regards.
