Millions of individuals succeed at attaining US citizenship each year. The United States ranks top in offering permanent residency to individuals from other nations. The government of the United States enforced some medical prerequisites referred to as NIS or immigration physical. This was in effort to ascertain that instances of diseases spreading in the county do not happen. For one to be granted the United States Citizenship, they must attain these medical requirements. When in need of Immigration Physicals Annandale should be visited.

The medical requirements that one needs to meet are only necessary when one wishes to obtain a green card, which is also known as adjustment of status. In some cases, even a person who wishes to obtain a non-immigrant status will also have to undergo medical examination. When a person is already in the United States, they are required by law to obtain a medical exam from a civil surgeon.

A civil surgeon is a physician who has been granted the designation by the US Citizenship and Immigration Services, also abbreviated as USCIS. On the other hand, in case someone is not within the borders of the United States already, then they need to obtain a medical exam from a panel physician. A panel physician refers to a physician that has received the designation from the Department of State of the United States.

Only two appointments with the physicians may be necessary to obtain immigration physicals if one undertakes proper footwork. The initial step here is finding a competent physician within the area one lives. One should know that once they obtain the results, they can use the even one year later. Thus, results obtain a year ago are still valid for use in applying for a green card a year later.

The examination is not extensive, but instead only checks for a few specific medical conditions. That means that having a cold or a similar common communicable disease is not a problem. As a matter of fact, the United States has made it even much easier for people to pass immigration physical and become US citizens. This has been done by removing certain diseases such as HIV/AID from the list of diseases considered.

However, it is essential to be informed that certain infections may prevent one from migrating into the US. These include venereal diseases like tuberculosis and contagious leprosy. Individuals with addictions, mental or physical disorders, or anything considered dangerous by the US are put under unique consideration. There is consolation in the fact that every case is placed under individual consideration.

Failing the NIS exam is also very easy, something that may cause one to fail to migrate to the US. For instance, there are instances in which having DUIs and a violence history may cause one to be denied the chance to migrate. Prior to going for the examination, it is critical to get the appropriate vaccinations. For individuals that have not been vaccinated, there is an allowance to be vaccinated at the time of the examination.

Immigration physical is not provided by every doctor. In fact, the number of doctors who are qualified to offer these services is very small. These doctors are based inside and outside the US. They have special training and a unique understanding of immigration requirements.
